SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The editors of the biannually published Hawk & Whippoorwill are seeking thoughtful and well-crafted verse on the topic of "man and nature". In this resurrection of August Derleth's admired journal, we are holding fast to his original conception and publishing only poems on this topic, including work in translation.

In the interest of saving paper and trees it is made from, we'd prefer to respond by email or phone whenever possible. If you'd prefer notification by post, however, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Submissions are review on a rolling basis. Contributors receive one complimentary copy of the issue in which their works appear, as well as a 50% discount on the cover price of up to four additional copies.
